The Savior on the blood was build on the place, where in 1881 on the 1st of March in accordance with verdict of the secret terrorist’s organization “Narodnaya volya” Russian imperator Alexander II was killed by the explosion of the bomb.
The Savior on the blood is a piece of evolution late step of “Russian stile”, pediments of four porches are amaze with their beauty, they are decorated with mosaic pictures. Inside the building all walls and vaulting are covered with highly artistic mosaic, made by the best masters of its time, that what makes this cathedral some kind of a mosaic art museum.
